			<description>I think there is growing interest, particularly as it relates to disaster recovery and operations continuity for the state. Hawaii is a very beaurocratic state, and there are a lot of small cliques to blow through before we can expect any level of vision or efficiency to poke through. 			<description>Having had some past experience as a consumer with the legacy systems used in Hawaii's infrastructure, I wasn't surprised to learn that Hawaii's CIO job is a 'part time' gig done as an afterthought by the state's comptroller. There is a need for some serious planning for the future of the infrastructure and I hope someone takes your recommendations for a professional CIO and real authority to get things done. - Steph Young Gonzaga</description>
