Martin J. Hewett is a Partner as well as one of two owners of Morgan Samuels Company. He is located in the Beverly Hills corporate office. Mr. Hewett specializes in senior executive-level assignments for Board Members, President, CEO, CIO, and other senior officer-level positions for both public and private companies. His executive search experience encompasses technology, communications, software and information systems, digital media, alternative and renewable energy plus industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Prior to joining Morgan Samuels Company, Mr. Hewett was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles after their acquisition of Highland Partners. Mr. Hewett was very successful in the identification and delivery of key executives to a broad range of global corporations, where they have had a significant impact on their company's performance. Mr. Hewett was also a founding member of Heidrick & Struggles Alternative & Renewable Energy Practice.

Prior to entering executive search, Mr. Hewett had extensive operational experience gained over 27 years both domestically and internationally. He was CEO of Enterprise Solutions Limited, a secure messaging software company; President of Panorama Software Corporation, a firm he divested from Computer Associates at the time they acquired Legent Corporation where he had held several executive-level assignments; Vice President with Goal Systems International; President of Essential Software Corporation; and President and CEO at Porton Instruments Corporation.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and DMS in the United Kingdom (MBA equivalent), Mr. Hewett spent eight years with Honeywell Information Systems based in London. Following Honeywell, he joined the UK office of Technicon Instruments Corp., the world leader in laboratory instruments. Over the course of fifteen years with Technicon, he held multiple senior executive positions, spending nine years in Paris primarily as President of Technicon Information Systems followed by five years in Santa Clara, California as the senior executive of Technicon Data Systems, before settling in Los Angeles in 1988.

Martin Hewett and his wife Marie-Michelle, are active board members and community supporters of several non-profit organizations including the Mary Ellen Gerber Foundation, caring for and creating opportunities for orphans and children in need worldwide.
