Ben was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Massapequa, New York (Long Island). He attended Pace University and graduated with a B.B.A. Degree in Public Accounting in 1987. Ben started his career with Touche Ross & Co. (later Deloitte & Touche). While with Deloitte & Touche, he became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York (1989), and earned his M.B.A. from Columbia University (1991), with a concentration in Finance and International Business. In January 1996, Ben left Deloitte & Touche, after nine years as a public accountant, to become Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for NBC. In January 1997, he was promoted to VP Finance and Chief Financial Officer for CNBC. From 1998 through 2001, Ben held three additional positions at CNBC: VP Master Black Belt NBC Cable Ad Sales (1998), VP Eastern Sales (1999), and VP Sales Operations (2001). Ben moved back to a position at NBC in October 2001, as VP Advertising Sales and Systems, with responsible for the development, deployment and support of all business applications related to advertising sales and traffic, research, and affiliate relations. In August 2004, after serving as the Sales Integration Leader during the NBC Universal merger, Ben moved to California to become VP Television and Film Systems. He was promoted to his current position, SVP Entertainment Systems in May 2006. In his current role, Ben oversees global technology strategy for the Television, Motion Picture, Theme Parks and Resorts, and Studio Operations business units. Ben is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has also graduated from GE’s executive training program, Managers Development Course. Ben is married to Deidre and they have a twelve-year old son, Connor; a nine-year old daughter, Shannon; and a six-year old son, Liam. He enjoys spending his time with his family, camping, golfing, tennis and skiing, and is an ardent Jets and Mets fan (still).
